Maybe she could have done as well as Yehudi. One wonders how much is due to the cultural bias agaisnt women - not just in Jewish families I would assume. <BR/><BR/>My mother wasnt given (sufficient) assistance to play piano (after she left high school) and - I recall her playing as beautiful - and had to go to business college (though I would say is he may have been able to have been more rebelious but she was not "feisty" (enough - she could be strong though) - she was a very gentle woman -not going to the Music Academy (for whatever reasons) was something that hurt her all her days. <BR/><BR/>So I can see the sadness of this pushing of Yeduhi only - if the girls had been pushed maybe they had become greater?
